Policemen Invade BIRS Office, Beat Staff To Coma In Benue State

Benue State Police Command has responded to the report blaming the X-Squad Unit for Police of plundering and beating of staff of the Benue State Internal Revenue Services (BIRS). 

It was charged that the new Commander of the Squad requested for N10m from BIRS, guaranteeing it was a request from the IGP. 

The Squad was additionally affirmed to have abused Mrs. Mimi Orubibi, the Executive Chairman of BIRS for declining to consent to the unholy request. 

The advancement professedly started dissent with adolescents of the states consuming tires and blocking real streets prompting Makurdi, the Benue State capital. 

Responding when reached by DAILY POST Monday night, the state Police PRO, Moses Yamu said the order had started examination on what prompted the attack and strike on the BIRS staff.

The examination will be taken care of impartially and concurred the reality it merits; with a view to guaranteeing that the blundering Officer and some other Officer discovered needing are made to confront the full anger of the law. 

"For the benefit of the Inspector General of Police, IGP. Ibrahim K. Idris NPM, mni, the Command might want to express its thankfulness to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Benue State, Gov. Samuel Ortom and the previous Governor of the State, Distinguished Senator George Akume for their help, administration and understanding which finished in the speedy determination of the appalling episode, please."
